Based in the heart of rural Suffolk county, we pride ourselves on building websites that go beyond just looking good. Although aesthetics play an important role in all our website design projects, what really sets our agency apart is our focus on the visitors’ journey. We build bespoke websites and provide a unique, positive user experience and guide them to take action. If you’d like to know more about how we plan individual bespoke pages then a good place to start would be our guide: What makes a good website homepage
SEO stands for Search engine Optimisation. It is the process of ensuring that the website and its online presence are well-optimised and appear organically in search engines so that when people browse Google (or other search engines), they find you at the top for their chosen search.
It’s a form of advertising with no direct costs like PPC (e.g. Facebook or Google Ads). It does require ongoing investment but has the potential to be far more profitable in the long term.
Although it’s a vast topic, we can essentially break it down into 2 core fields. On-page SEO and Off-page SEO.
On-page SEO is about structuring your website and its content in a way that is appealing to search engines as well as website visitors. Off-page SEO is about creating an online presence, and brand identity and being seen as the authority in your field. Do this well and you will be rewarded with high visibility in the search engines.
You’ll see more on our main SEO page, but the reason our SEO works so well is that we constantly test and refine our methods to improve efficiency and results.
We have considerable knowledge and proven methods for ranking in standard search results and local SEO, Google Maps SEO, and even Video SEO. This allows any business to focus on the exact audience they are targeting (be it their local community or further afield).
If you’re looking for a Suffolk web design agency, make sure you find one that knows how to build a new website that not only looks great but also converts visitors into leads and sales. A website design that looks fantastic but isn’t optimized for conversions is essentially useless – you might as well not have a new website at all!
At Suffolk Web Design, we build websites that look great. But that’s only the beginning. Our carefully structured bespoke web design service combined with our knowledge of search engine optimisation will help you create a digital marketing plan that converts visitors into leads and sales.

Digital marketing can be a great way to promote your business and reach new customers. We can deliver a website that is not only beautiful but also effective in showcasing the services your business offers and helps secure you new leads and clients on a regular basis. We’ll work with you to develop a custom design that reflects your unique brand and personality.
It can’t have escaped your attention that there are lots of other sites and companies in Suffolk offering professional design and development for their customers. Some of these are marketing agencies that will also offer to help you improve the visibility of your website in Google and other search results. Yet, somehow you’re reading this! This is probably because one of your searches led you here.
The very fact that you’re here and you’ve chosen to spend your valuable time browsing this page shows that we’ve achieved at least some degree of success in our own advertising, branding and marketing strategy.
It’s the most common question that website designers and web developers are asked and if you’ve been researching for any length of time, you’ll know that the difference in price can be staggering! Some websites are free or very cheap (under £500). Others can cost upwards of £10k.
We’ve written separate advice here on how much you should be spending on a website (based on your budget and what stage your business is at) and what the difference is between price points. In short, our website development projects range from £2000 to around £10000.
Most of our clients and customers fall into the £3000-£5000 purchase category. This ensures that their website project gets a dedicated designer who will achieve the branding, functionality, and results they expect for their business.
Ultimately, we want every business we work with to achieve success with our services and the website we build for them. That’s why our agency charges the price we do. We’re not the cheapest option available, but we’re also far from being the most expensive.
If we can make you a website that your users and customers love, sells your services effectively and allow you to grow your company then your website is no longer a cost, but a sound investment! Because of this, we feel our prices are a fantastic deal.
For a full rundown of our process and how we create the perfect online platforms for your brand and get you access to more searches, traffic, leads and customers please check out our site process page here: Web Design Process, but here’s a brief explanation of how the process works.
We like to have a meeting with access to your project lead and relevant team members. We’ll talk to you in-depth about what you want to achieve online both now and in future (so we can make sure your site is scalable). We’ll dig deep into your “why” so we can find out exactly what you need (not just what you think you need).
This will enable us to design a plan that’s on point for your company and also understand what support and advice you’ll need. Many of our clients prefer us to use the WordPress platform. As well as having a clean interface, the code is built in a way that allows for functionality to be added and maintained without the expense of specialist programmers or code experts. Unless there are specific reasons not to use WordPress, this is typically the direction we’ll take.
We’ll develop a visual sitemap once we have all of the information from your project discovery. This allows us to make sure that we’re on the same page from the start. There are no beautifully designed pages at this stage or much else please the designer.
There’s no website clickable links. but it’s the perfect non-cluttered approach to show your page and website structure. It’s basically a visual representation of your pages and how they will link together.
We don’t want people to glaze over when jargon and technicalities start flying around. As a result, rather than attempting to explain what we plan to accomplish and hoping it makes sense, We’ll construct an interactive prototype in the browser so you’ll be able to see how our solution works.
Links will be clickable and you’ll begin to see your site structure come to life. But there won’t be any attention to the design at this stage other than the basic layout. It won’t look pretty, but it will allow you to engage with each page see how your new website will operate.
The following is where the fun begins and the designers get to spread their wings. We’re ready to experiment with colours and patterns that match your company and turn your interactive prototype into a real thing!
This is where you’ll see how you’re going to stand out from the crowd and attract your wonderful new customers or clients. No matter the type, all businesses that we work with get far more excited about this stage as it’s much more visual and where designers really get to deliver.
After the design is decided, it’s time for us to go away for a while and get everything connected and tested. We’ll look for issues and work out any kinks. We’ll work on all the technical functions (such as your contact form), and make sure it’s ready for search and SEO.
When everything is completely checked and working properly, we’ll hit the big button to make your site available to the entire planet.
Contact us today and get the conversation started today by phone or (generally better) by clicking the “get started”.
